What is Intellectual Property?\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p>Intellectual property refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions, literary and artistic works, and symbols, names, images, and designs used in commerce.<\/p>\n<p>Intellectual property can be divided into industrial property and copyrights:\n\nIndustrial property includes inventions (patents), trademarks, industrial designs, and geographical indications.\n\nCopyright covers literary and artistic works.<\/p>\n<p>Intellectual property encompasses all rights arising from intellectual activity. If permission is unclear, it is recommended not to use the image.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q2: I use statistical data published by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in my lecture slides and have cited the source. Are there other legal considerations?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Data and materials from the Ministry of Health and Welfare\u2019s official website are free for public use without time or geographic restrictions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Anyone may reproduce, modify, edit, publicly transmit, or further develop products and services (value-added applications) without requesting additional authorization<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">However, the source must always be cited.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q3: Creating all charts and figures from scratch is time-consuming, especially graphs.
